Illustrating the manner in which meaning is generated by difference. In this roughly-hewn, interactive project, four words in the sentence can be substituted for related words, and - depending on your associations with that word - we could get the sense of lazy luxury or a slightly run down café; your call. Additionally, the descriptions for the liquid on the table may allude to different things - is there something sinister about “stream” against the later word “white”? Does the word “pool” reinforce the apparent opulence of the china and silk?
